Billie Eilish awarded the best song Oscar for "What Was I Made For?" together with her brother Finneas O’Connell.
Achieved success by winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song with their collaborative work on "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie movie soundtrack.
Eilish and O’Connell emerged victorious against a roster that featured an additional track from Barbie: I’m Just Ken, composed by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt and sung by Ryan Gosling.
The competition also included Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People) from Killers of the Flower Moon, and It Never Went Away from the documentary American Symphony.
The song "What Was I Made For?" achieved great success by becoming a chart-topper in both the UK and Australia, while also peaking at number 14 in the US.
The track is featured in a pivotal scene of the movie where Barbie, portrayed by Margot Robbie, encounters the spirit of her inventor Ruth Handler, played by Rhea Perlman.
This song was honored with the prestigious titles of Best Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media at the Grammy Awards held in February.
