Encountered a worldwide system failure!

McDonald's has stated that the worldwide IT outage, which resulted in the inability of their servers to process payments and led to the closure of restaurants in Australia and various other countries on Friday evening, was not caused by a cybersecurity breach.

The technological problems led to disruptions throughout the international operations of the fast-food company, resulting in the closure of stores in Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand.

The company's internal systems were primarily affected by the outage, as reported by a McDonald's employee who informed the ABC that servers were unable to view anything on their computer screens.

Reports indicate that dining establishments in Canada, Hong Kong, Germany, and Austria were similarly impacted by the problem.

The MyMacca's app was also impacted, as indicated by the surge in reports on the global outage tracker Downdetector starting from approximately 4:30pm AEDT.

Company has expressed its apologies!

"We express our gratitude to our valued customers for their patience and extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience that may have been caused."

A representative from McDonald's informed the ABC that the matter is currently being addressed.

Resolving the issue:
